"I've brought a lot of trouble to your doorstep," Lio acknowledges quietly. He won't apologize for it. He can't. Not if this will bring the help that his people need. And Galo has given him his word that he will help. He can't turn that away, but what he can do is defend this healer, with every last shred of flame he has.
And he will.
"Kray wants us dead or in his custody. I don't know what he's doing, what he's after. But I know it can't be good."
A pause and he frowns. "Hope is fine, but... are you prepared to fight back if he does?"
