Bren was self aware enough to understand that it was strange and surprising that anyone -- never mind one of the wealthiest men in Wildemount -- would stop and take someone in his condition to their house and ask no questions whatsoever. He continued to nibble at the food, looking further relieved with each bite, like his body was still taking some convincing to believe that this was real. Everything was delicious, possibly the best food that he had ever had in his life. He forced himself to go slow though, pausing to sip at the cider like it was some sort of ambrosia.]
