A soft, low whine echoed in his throat, more eager lapdog than vicious wolf. And, embarrassingly enough, his tail gave a series of unrestrained thumps against the bed as it wagged because his mate was here.
Whatever had changed in the ginger had not changed nearly enough that it could forget who Essek was to him. The wolf recognized his mate and wanted nothing more than to know said mate was near and safe with him. He could protect his mate now; he was strong and capable and the moon had flooded his blood with strength and power. The wolf was comfortable in its ability to protect its own.]
